With 250 out of 365 days sunny, Kosovo has strong potential for solar energy, yet a lack of training and certification meant very few local businesses had the skills to enter the market. The EYE project supported the training and certification of the first group of engineers in Kosovo for the design and installation of solar photovoltaic systems.
Elen was one of the main local businesses to benefit: five of its 18 engineers were trained and certified by international experts, positioning the company to work on both local and international projects.
